Welcome! I’m really glad you found your way here.

Starting therapy can feel a little like stepping into the unknown, and it takes courage to even begin looking. My hope is that this space feels warm, safe, and inviting, like a quiet place to pause, take a breath, and set down what you’ve been carrying. You don’t have to have everything figured out to be here.

In our work together, we’ll move at your pace, with curiosity, compassion, and care. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, exploring your identity, healing from past experiences, or simply feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed, you don’t have to do it alone. This can be a space where every part of you is welcome, where healing, self-understanding, and growth can gently unfold.

Genesis Martinez, LPC

I work with young adults, emerging adults, and older adults who are navigating challenges such as eating disorders, mood concerns, life transitions, academic stress, identity and self-esteem struggles, and trauma. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, and I also bring extensive experience in conducting neuropsychological assessments. Before joining Main Street Counseling Solutions and Riverside Psychology, I had the opportunity to work across several areas of mental health, including neuropsychology, personality disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and autism spectrum differences.

In our work together, I draw from a blend of approaches, like gathering the right herbs for the right remedy, so we can discover what truly fits you. I often weave in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness, all held within a steady foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My hope is to shape our time together into something that feels meaningful, supportive, and true to where you want to go.

As a Latina woman, I carry a deep awareness of the stigma that can quietly surround mental health in many communities. Cultural understanding and respect aren't an afterthought in my practice, they're woven into its very roots. I strive to hold a warm, welcoming space where you can simply be yourself, free of judgment or shame, and supported as you explore, heal, and grow into who you're becoming.

Think of therapy here as a quiet clearing in the woods: a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. A space where curiosity is always welcome, your story is honored exactly as it is, and healing is allowed to unfold in its own time, at its own pace.
